WHO WE ARE
We are a congregation of people from all over the northern Willamette Valley, in Oregon.
In a relationship with God the Father, Son, and Spiritwe, we have found a life of grace, reconciliation, purpose, and community here at St. Francis.
Here you can discover the call of the Lord into fellowship and service to the world.
Our desire is to help you connect with the hope and encouragement that God has for you in Jesus Christ!
OUR WORSHIP
The Holy Eucharist is the principal act of worship on Sunday. It is the celebration instituted by Christ at the Last Supper in which we recall his life, death and resurrection, and anticipate his coming again.
The Episcopal Church is based upon:
- Scripture, with the Bible as the primary source of doctrine;
- Tradition, embracing Christian wisdom from generations past
- Reason, which is a gift of the Holy Spirit.
When you attend an Episcopal service in Oregon, Great Britain, the Sudan or anywhere in the world you will find a service full of honored traditions, and consistent liturgy. There will be familiarity.
You will also notice differences that make each parish unique. At St Francis we strive to be a welcoming group supporting one another through prayer and service.
Our newsletter has all the latest chitchat, details of upcoming events, and stories of what has happened.
Would you like it delivered? Just contact us and we'll add you to the list.
NOTE FROM
FATHER TONY:
The congregation of Saint Francis of Assisi has been blessed with a beautiful building and lovely gardens, for which we are thankful. However, the heart our life as a community centers around our worship and our respect for the dignity of every human being as beloved by God.
We believe we are all called to ministry, to do God's work in our daily lives offering those gifts and skills we have been given in the service of others, and for our spiritual growth.
We extend a warm welcome , invite you to visit us and consider making St. Francis your church home.
