Music Ministry

St. Francis is blessed with a glorious worship space that has wonderful acoustics for music, a  grand piano and pipe organ, and talented parishioners who share their instrument-playing or ringing with us. Our pipe organ, now 35 years old, is  being rebuilt thanks to the efforts of several teams that researched and are currently fundraising to purchase  and install a new organ and to move and reinstall the  pipes.

Our choirs sing or ring every Sunday, with lots of  solos, duets, and small choirs in the summer months.  We love our musicians and the power they bring to  worship. We have offered ecumenical Taize services, occasional Evensong, Lessons and Carols during Advent and music through Holy Week. We have  this year commissioned new service music from a composer in the congregation that we began using in September.

Both the St. Francis Choir and the St. Francis Bell Choir are open to anyone who wishes to participate without audition.

To join either ensemble, please speak to Jon Holland so that he can prepare a music folder for you.  Not sure if the Music MInistry is for you? Please consider joining us for a trial period with no obligation to continue.
