Visual Arts Ministry

Our Visual Arts Ministry recognizes the value of our spaces for showcasing music and visual arts, and utilizes and offers our spaces for public enjoyment. We have had concert series and  have built gallery space into the narthex and hallway to the sacristy, where we regularly have curated displays open to the public.

The Narthex is a wonderful place to display the art work of Christian artists. Over the years, we have had many displays of interest for people to admire. We have some permanent pieces that add beauty to the gathering place.
The Art and Architectural committee plans and carries out the displays in the Narthex.

On Display

The beautiful photographs in the narthex are by Portland photographer Earl Robicheau. The images of Church of England cathedrals were made on a recent trip to the Cotswolds and the Peaks District in England.

Earl was born in California and graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Washington. He became a CPA and served as finance officer for several major corporations including Costco and Plum Creek Timber Company. After retirement he concentrated on photography and today is an accomplished scenic, fine art and travel photographer.

If parishioners are interested in purchasing one of Earl’s works please see Rod Chandler. Ten percent of proceeds will go to the Arts Ministry fund.
