Annual Meeting

Looking ahead at 2019!

Our Annual Meeting and Brunch is right around the corner. This year the meeting will be held on January 20 after the 10:30 am service. Mark your calendars and come hear all the great things that happened at St. Francis in 2018. Also, meet the candidates and vote for new Vestry members.

Catechumenate 2019

Would you like to jump start your spiritual journey? Would you like to get to know folks at St. Francis better? Would you like to get to know the Episcopal traditions and practices better? Well, join Cat 2019! We meet on Sundays, noon-2:00 pm, beginning Epiphany (January 27) through early Easter season (May 5) over lunch in Cummins Hall, pray together, reflect on scripture and study what it means to be a child of God in the Episcopal Church. Information about the wonders and experiences of the catechumenate at St. Francis can be found in the information center. Or contact Terri Hoffmann (503-982-4825) or Christopher Onstad (971-264-6996) for more information or to enroll!

Get Acquainted!

Saturday, February 2, 9:15 am-12:30 pm come share breakfast and explore the Episcopal Church, St. Francis in particular! We’ll spend time getting to know each other and how we are connected to the Anglican Communion, how we take care of each other, and how we work to serve the world. Bring some fruit or finger foods or just your curiosity. Sign up at the Information Center or call the office, 503-678-5422.

Epiphany Sunday

On Epiphany Sunday, January 6, St Francis celebrates the arrival of the Magi to the Christ Child.

We honor this day, in our own time, by our gifts of clothing, diapers, and baby hats to the babies of Salud Medical Center in Woodburn. As you shop for gifts for loved ones, please think of the little ones of these families.

Thanks!!! Jane Domagalski

St. Francis Knitters

Days are a little shorter, it is time to get the knitting needles out in preparation for the intake of baby hats on January 6, Epiphany Sunday. These hats are our gift to Salud Medical Clinic in Woodburn in support of their work and ministry. Patterns, sample caps, and yarns are on the bulletin board, and by the information center. If you would like to learn to knit, these are great little projects for anyone. Please contact me for any questions. Thank you all so much!!
