Christmas Baskets and Donations

Christmas is coming and we will eagerly reach out again to at least thirty five families. In their Christmas boxes there will also be a very special Christmas card from St. Francis. Here are ways you can be a part of serving these families: donate food, checks to purchase food and gift cards for families; take the names of one or more children to shop for; volunteer to drive (we hope that if you drove at Thanksgiving, you can drive again (please let us know); come on Saturday, December 22, at 11:30 am to sort food; volunteer to load up cars with boxes of food and gifts on December 23. The Mission, Discipleship, Evangelism Committee gives you thanks! God bless our efforts.

MDE: MISSION, DISCIPLESHIP, AND EVANGELISM

Optimized-image2Our Outreach Ministry evolved into Mission, Discipleship and  Evangelism, mindful of following Christ and supporting others to do the same with what we do and how we present ourselves.

The MDE ministry keeps the congregation thinking about ways to build up the Kingdom of God while meeting our community needs.

The MDE team manages our care for more than 35 local families taking them Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and Christmas presents; takes weekly parish donations to the local food bank and William Temple House (www.williamtemple.org);
provides dental care and shoes to local  children in need; supports county programs for homeless people and mothers/children who need  to become independent;
sends financial support to people and projects in Africa, Central and  South America, and Haiti; and is always looking for additional ways to serve the world on our  behalf.

Our outreach services serve the individuals and organizations listed in this document.
