The Rev. Kenneth Russell


Ken was ordained Deacon in 2000.  He grew up in the Lutheran church.  Easter Sunday 1991, he attended St Bartholomew Episcopal Church for the first time and fell in love with the Liturgy, the music, the Church, and its Ministry.  Within the next few years, he became involved as a Eucharistic Minister, Acolyte Director, taught High School Sunday School and assisted with the Youth Group. He joined Steven’s Ministry, Vestry, and finally answered the call to the Diaconate.   After ordination, he served at Christ Church, Lake Oswego; All Saints, Hillsboro and has been at St Francis for the last ten years. 

Ken is a retired attorney, has been married to his high school sweetheart Cindy for 36 years, and has two children who are married and live in the area.  He spends his free time playing with his grandchildren, reading, listening to music, and taking nature photographs.
