St. Francis is an Episcopal Church, part of the Episcopal Church in Western Oregon. We are also a vibrant community church. The people who founded St.Francis envisioned a church where people of multiple backgrounds could worship together. Today, some of our members are “cradle Episcopalians.” Others come from different traditions and have found in this church an inclusive, life-giving, community.
We are both Catholic and Reformed. Catholic in our sacraments, which preserve ancient prayers around the Holy Eucharist. Reformed in our democratic governance and egalitarianism. This church is named after St. Francis of Assisi. Our church building is consciously set within nature and the gardens are lovingly tended.

In the sanctuary, windows look out onto the garden. Behind the church a path invites members of the church and broader community to a contemplative walk to a beaver pond.

Pets are blessed once a year on St. Francis Day, and are welcome at church on any day.

St. Francis is governed by a Vestry, lay people elected by the congregation. It is presently searching for a new Rector, being served by an Interim Rector, The Rev. Jaime Sanders, shown here teaching a class. A link to the Parish Profile is below.

A professional musician invites members of the congregation to use their gifts. Both a vocal choir and a bell choir welcome new members. The choir sings at the 10:30 Sunday service during the academic year, and at other services on special liturgical days.
