We need your help!!! Over the past few weeks our Comfort Quilt group has been making face masks for medical facilities and organizations in need of them. Face masks have been sent to medical facilities from New York and Connecticut to California with many going to local organizations as well. We recently formed a partnership with the Canby Thriftway to sell masks for $5.each with all proceeds, including a “match” from St. Francis, benefiting the Canby Center Food Bank and COVID-19 programs. To date we have made close to 500 masks but the need continues to grow, especially in medical facilities that serve patients below the poverty level. We have enlisted the help of family, neighbors and friends and are now appealing to our entire Church community to join our efforts. This is a great way to “stay at home” and contribute to the curtailment of this virus. Consider making this a family effort. If you have a sewing machine or would like to assist in any way, please contact us. We can arrange to provide supplies, if needed and will provide pickup service for completed masks, all done with appropriate social distancing practices. (This photo taken earlier in the year) Together we can help fight this virus one mask at a time!
