 The OUTREACH COMMITTEE – (Mission, Discipleship and Evangelism – MDE) has a huge challenge this year. Our Annual fund raising auction and picnic will not be held this year. COVID has also resulted in an increase in requests for support and new challenges on how to reach those in need. In response, we will host our first ever ONLINE SILENT AUCTION and paddle raise called an AUCTION OF FAITH.
It is an Auction of Faith because we will need: FAITH that generous people and businesses will donate items, their time and talents FAITH that people will bid and buy items and also tell their neighbors and friends to join in FAITH that people will still bid although some items can’t be used until A/C (After Covid) FAITH that we will reach our goal of $20,000 to cover holiday giving this year and outreach for 2021. Please begin to think about what you would be able to donate to this auction and what businesses you might contact for donations or sponsorship. · Fresh flowers from the garden delivered · Wash and wax your car · A gift basket with a special theme · A special item you own · A handmade baby quilt designed with the bidder · Rounds of golf · Dinner or brunch at your home (A/C) or delivered · Doing errands-delivering items · Sharing your talents: a class, instruction, coaching · Gift certificates stores/restaurants · Use of vacation home, pool, frequent flyer miles · Handmade items August 2020 - April, 2021: - Items donated and listed April 2021: Items previewed online, register for bidding Sunday May 2 – May 9: Silent Online Auction of Faith is held Fall 2020: more information to follow will include: a donation letter you may distribute, online address of auction, steps to donate items, update on progress and ways you can be involved.
