During this Stewardship season we are focusing on wellness, which includes getting involved, contributing to our community, sharing our talents and skills, cultivating healthy relationships and communicating our thoughts, feelings and ideas.
If you are interested in a ministry that “checks all of these boxes,” please consider joining the Threads of Love Sewing Ministry. We are a very collaborative group and meet in person twice each month, but have options for ministry members to participate from home as well.
Baby Blanket Ensembles - We are busy making baby blanket ensembles for the Salud Medical Center in Woodburn. Each ensemble is unique and includes a double weight flannel receiving blanket, burp cloth and knitted cap - a perfect welcome for a new baby! In January 2021, we gifted Salud with almost 100 ensembles and are striving for 125 to present to them in January 2022. If you can cut fabric, iron, sew straight seams or knit, we welcome your help. Pre-cut kits are available for members to sew at home, which makes completing an ensemble a quick and fun project!
Stewardship Quilt - When the Stewardship Campaign is complete, our ministry will help with the preparation of the quilt top and backing for professional quilting and then add the binding after it is quilted. If you would like to help with this effort or would like to learn more about the process, please join us.
Our meeting dates are listed in the weekly parish email blast and also in the Sunday bulletins. We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming meeting!
