we are now allowed to have 50 people at each service

Dear Friends in Christ,
I have some very good news to share, and can't we all use a little good news, right about now. Last week, the Governor changed the guidelines for churches, and we are now allowed to have 50 people at each service. We still must wear masks and practice social distancing, but more of us can worship together in person. In addition, the Bishop has approved my request for additional changes.

First, we will no longer require pre-registration for services. We have never had anywhere near 50 requests to attend an in-person service. So, if you feel comfortable coming to church, then come on down.

Second, we are also reopening Sunday school and our nursery. Our nursery minister Hallie Koenig will be returning to St. Francis and helping with both Sunday School and the nursery. Third, we can resume baptisms, weddings and funerals, as long as we have 50 people or fewer at those services.

It may not feel like it, but life is returning back to normal. St. Francis is the patron saint of gratitude. We are celebrating at Season of Gratitude at St. Francis, and with this news, I am certainly very grateful. I hope that you are, too, and I look forward to seeing you in-person.

Peace and blessings, Father Brendan

Sunday Service Attendance requirements
You MUST wear a mask at all times.
  • Masks will be available, but please try to bring your own. They cannot be returned.
  • You must sign in at the door and have your name as being in attendance in case contact tracing is required.
  • You will need to be standing six feet apart, while everyone is signing in.
  • In a small group, late arrivals can be distracting, so there will be no seating five minutes after the service has begun.
  • To maintain social distancing, remain in your seat during the service.
  • There will be coffee hour in the parking lot. Bring your own coffee.
  • There will be no access to the Memorial Garden through the Narthex.
